BUILDING, GROUNDS, CEMETERY, RECYCLE COMMITTEE October 14, 2025 The regular meeting of the Building, Grounds and Cemetery Committee was called to order by Chairperson Bert Hefty, at 6:30 p.m. at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Hefty, David King, Kim Klein and Tonya Stephen. Absent: Lis Briggs. Also present: Lonnie Gill. Proof of posting was verified. BURN BARREL DISCUSSION: Chief Ritter is calling and researching surrounding areas for burning ordinances; discussion about possibly issuing a permit needed for brush burning and such, with fire pits to be exempted. GARBAGE PICK-UP DISCUSSION: Gill reported that Pellitteri is willing to put in a bid for Village pick-up; would contract with one company; billing placed on tax roll; find a way to also keep the recycle center. 2026 BUDGET: Motion by Stephan, seconded by King, to send the 2026 budget to the finance meeting. All ayes. Motion carried. CONCERNS OF RECYCLING WORKERS: None ANNOUNCEMENT AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Further discussion on ban of burn barrels.
