PARKS COMMISSION February 20th, 2023 The Parks Commission met at the Albany Village Hall on Monday February 20th, 2023. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Tonya Stephan. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Stephan, Bert Hefty, Larry Ommodt and Jim Mauerman. Absent: Eileen Althaus, and Rich Wachholz Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Carried. HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL SEASON: High school baseball league will have 3 Friday home games this season. Wachholz will start working on field after spring break until first home game of the season, to ensure new grass seed takes and lips settle properly. Grass is not to be mowed until day prior to first home game in April. RIVERFEST REQUESTS: Motion by Ommodt, seconded by Stephen to approve creating two sand volleyball courts on grassy area at legion closest to river, and to relocate obstacle course in the park across from library. Carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FURTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Ballpark management, Concessionaire and all other summer positions to hire / re-hire. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Ommodt, seconded by Mauerman, to adjourn.
