Parks Commission

PARKS COMMISSION September 19th, 2022 The Parks Commission met at the Albany Village Hall on Monday, September 19th, 2022. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Tonya Stephan. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Stephan, Eileen Althaus, Bert Hefty, Larry Ommodt, Rich Wachholz and Jim Mauerman. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Gary Armitage, Dan Kauk, and Jeff Inabnit Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Althaus, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. Carried. TOWER HILL PARK UPDATE: Lonnie to contact John LaPointe to discuss playground equipment for Tower Hill Park. PARK EQUIPMENT PURCHASE UPDATE: Lonnie to contact John LaPointe to discuss playground equipment for Tower Hill Park. VILLAGE PARK CONCERNS: None BASEBALL FIELD SOD REMOVAL: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Ommodt, to have Armitage get recommendations and quotes for re-doing the baseball field sod area; to start the project in the fall. Carried. Armitage will help keep the diamond playable until the project has been complete. SUMMER BONUSES: Motioned by Stephan, seconded by Hefty, to approve summer bonuses for Briggs and Mauerman same as last year. Carried. 2023 BUDGET: Ommodt and Althaus to add extra money to set aside and send budget to board. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Baseball field project. Tower Hill Park equipment.
