PARKS COMMISSION March 17, 2025 The Parks Commission met at the Albany Village Hall on Monday, March 17, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Tonya Stephan. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Stephan, Berty Hefty, Kimberly Klein, Jim Mauerman, Rich Wachholz and Amy Jo VonBehren. Absent: Larry Ommodt. Also present: Lonnie Gill. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as printed. All ayes. Motion carried. BASEBALL BATTING CAGE: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Klein, to approve paying a third of the batting cage cost and the remaining coming from Dugout Club. All ayes. Motion carried. BASEBALL FIELD SPRINKLER SYSTEM: Gill had all material figured out and ordered, but the wrong parts were delivered; so will re-order and then will put in around the beginning of April. All the sprinkler heads were located. VILLAGE BALLPARK UPDATES: The in-field needs more grass seed; and look at renting a roller; then look at getting new bases. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Gill received a quote from DP Concrete for the legion boat landing in the amount of $2980; blacktop sidewalk by ballpark; Bowman Park shelter roof; retaining wall by Village Park bathrooms.
