PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING May 22, 2023 The meeting of the Personnel Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Village President Kim Blumer at the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Blumer, Bert Hefty, Roald Henderson, Larry Nipple, and Tonya Stephan. Absent: Michelle Monson and Fred Johnson. Proof of posting was verified. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Nothing. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Nipple, to go into closed session under §19.85(1)(c). Roll call vote: Blumer—yes; Henderson—yes; Nipple—yes; Stephan—yes; Hefty—yes. Carried. RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Stephan, to reconvene to open session. Roll call vote: Blumer—yes; Henderson; Nipple—yes; Stephan—yes; Hefty— yes. Carried. RECOMMENDATIONS FROM CLOSED SESSION: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Hefty, to bring all wage changes into open session. Carried. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Hefty, to raise Pryce’s wage to $20/hr effective after June Board meeting retroactive back to May 26, 2023. Carried. Motion by Nipple, seconded by Hefty, to raise Chief Ritter’s wage to $38/hr or $79,040/yr after June Board meeting retroactive back to May 26, 2023. Carried. Motion by Nipple, seconded by Stephan, to raise Blom’s wage to $25/hr effective May 26 after approval at June board meeting. Carried. Motion by Nipple, seconded by Stephan, to raise part-time police officers to $25/hr effective May 26 after approval at June board meeting. Carried. Motion by Stephan, seconded by Nipple, to start the open full-time police officer position at $25/hr. Carried. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Henderson, to adjourn. Carried.
