Plans Commission

PLANS COMMISSION June 8, 2023 The regular meeting of the Plans Commission was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by President Kim Blumer in the Albany Village Hall. Members present were: Blumer, Michelle Monson, Roald Henderson, Eileen Althaus and Paul Rhyner. Absent: Larry Ommodt and David King. Also present: Todd Noble, Butch Brezinski, Tony Scofield and John Koopmans. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Rhyner, seconded by Monson, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as printed. Carried. APPROVAL OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP-W1478 DECATUR-ALBANY ROAD: Motion by Monson, seconded by Henderson, to approve the certified survey map for W1478 Decatur-Albany Road. Carried. BUTCH BREZINSKI-703 6TH STREET: Brezinski and Schofield were present to address the committee about the possibility of adding another 4-unit apartment complex at 703 6th Street with the thought of making a public laundromat in the new unit. They are trying to figure out their lot lines on their own to see if they would make the setbacks prior to actually spending the money for a certified survey. Much discussion and it was decided to forego the public laundromat proposal. They will go forward with the certified survey and see if they will make the set backs to proceed with the second unit. FENCE PLANS: Motion by Monson, seconded by Henderson, to approve John Koopmans fence plan. Carried. Motion by Monson, seconded by Blumer, to approve Duane Nettum’s fence plan. Carried. LAREDO CONNECT SUBSCRITION: Motion by Blumer, seconded Henderson, to deny the subscription to Laredo. Carried. CHICKEN PERMITS: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Rhyner, to approve chicken permit for Luvina Rice; and to approve chicken permits for Ryan Sperle and Dan Broughton contingent on obtaining/providing their livestock premise registration number.
