POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE September 28th The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Fred Johnson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Johnson, Deanna Hubert, Larry Nipple, Bert Hefty, Dennis Atkinson, Chief Ritter, and Chief Mueller. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Nipple, seconded by Hefty, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None. FIRE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Mueller stated the fire department received an ISO rating of 5/5 Y. The department applied for a water rescue grant. The joint training on September 22, 2022 with EMS/Fire for hunting accident went well. POLICE CHIEF CONCERNS: Chief Ritter informed committee that an offer was made to potential new officer. NEW FIRE TRUCK: Motion by Hubert, seconded by Hefty, to take to the village board the purchase of a new fire truck in 2023 for $500,000. Carried. The fire department has $450,000 of that saved already. 2023 BUDGET: Motion by Hefty, seconded by Nipple to approve the budgets as discussed. Carried. TRAINING: Nothing.
