POLICE, FIRE AND LICENSE COMMITTEE September 23, 2025 The regular meeting of the Police, Fire and License Committee was called to order by Chairperson Michelle Monson at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall, 206 North Water Street, Albany, WI. Members present were: Monson, Fred Johnson, Tonya Stephan, Scott Roth, Fire Chief Hauri and Police Chief Robert Ritter. Absent: Deanna Hubert and Dennis Atkinson. Also present: Kim Blumer, Able Schultz, and Alan Hodkiewicz of Brooklyn Township. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Johnson, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. All ayes. Motion carried. PUBLIC APPEARANCES: None. FIRE CHIEF UPDATES: Chief Hauri reported that there are 23 members; had 7 calls in August and 7 calls in September; still working on audit; budget for pay is $9,700; made $440 from concert; pump testing passed; October 7 from 8am – 4:30pm is rapid needs; hose testing is complete, airplane crash training is completed and Fire I training is here on Mondays and the Baertschi cross country invite is on October 11. POLICE CHIEF UPDATES: Chief Ritter reported that two officers at the police academy passed first exam and are doing well. 2026 BUDGET: Motion by Stephan, seconded by Johnson, to send the 2026 budget with changes to the Finance Committee.
