STREET AND UTILITY COMMITTEE January 6, 2025 The regular meeting of the Street and Utility Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany Village Hall by Chairperson Berty Hefty. Members present were: Hefty, Kim Blumer and Jim Mauerman. Absent: Fred Johnson. Also present: Lonnie Gill, Ex-Officio and Paul Willis of Mead & Hunt. Proof of posting was verified. MINUTES: Motion by Mauerman, seconded by Blumer, to approve the previous minutes as printed. Carried. SLIP LINING AND MANHOLE REPAIR UPDATE: The work on this has been delayed due to illness. Refinish manholes that need replacing with a better cover. WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM REPAIR PHASE 1: This item will be sent directly to the board. 2024 DNR WASTEWATER CREDIT REPORT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the report. Carried. WATER TOWER AND STANDPIPE INSPECTION REPORT: Standpipe is in good condition. The inside of the tower may need to be painted in 5-6 years and the lower section may need to be power washed. TREE CITY USA REPORT: Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the Tree City USA report. Carried. TRAINING: Gill or Dan Blumer may be going to the Rural Water Conference at Green Bay. Blumer’s license needs to be renewed. Motion by Blumer, seconded by Mauerman, to approve the attendance at the Rural Water Conference in Green Bay not to exceed $1,000. Carried.
