Roll Call Present: Bembas, Blair, Osieczonek, Stoneburner, Tesch, Thompson. Martin arrived at 6:40 p.m. Absent: Others: City Manager Denice Gerstenberg, Recording Secretary Cathy Harris, Larry Sminski, Helen Sminski, Kathy Bowen, Amanda Gougeon, Ed Smith, Adam Ragsdale, Nancy LaParl, Ed Carter, Tom Stoneburner, Linda Koch. Moment of Silent Prayer Mayor Tesch called for a moment of silent prayer. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Tesch led the Pledge of Allegiance. Public Comment Juliana Watson commented on the online packets and blight in the city. Ed Smith from Congressman Mitchell’s office updated the public on the Congressman’s activities City Manager’s Report CO#11.02.17 – Hear and file the City Manager’s Report Motion by Thompson; supported by Martin to hear the city manager’s report. Motion Carried. Consent Agenda CO#11.03.17 Consent Agenda Motion by Martin; supported by Thompson to approve the consent agenda consisting of the 10.17.17 City Council regular meeting minutes. Motion Carried. Unfinished Business -- none New Business Planning Commission Resignation of Bob Scruggs CO# 11.04.17 Resignation of Bob Scruggs Motion by Stoneburner; supported by Thompson to accept the resignation of Bob Scruggs from the Planning Commission, effective October 18, 2017. Motion Carried. Planning Commission Appointments CO#11.05.17 Appoint Adam Ragsdale to Planning Commission Motion by Tesch; supported by Osieczonek to appoint Adam Ragsdale to the Planning Commission with a term that begins immediately and ends July 17, 2019. Motion Carried. To approve purchase of water and sewer parts for repair inventory. CO#11.06.17 Approval of water and sewer parts for repair inventory. CC Minutes_11.7.17 2  Motion by Thompson; supported by Martin to approve the purchase of inventory parts for the water and sewer departments at a cost of $15,145.04. Motion Carried. Roll call: Ayes: Martin, Osieczonek, Tesch, Stoneburner, Thompson, Bembas, Blair Nays: None To approve lift station pump repairs. CO#11.07.17 Approval of lift station pump repairs. Motion by Blair; supported by Thompson to approve the cost of $1,898.92 for repairing the lift station pump. Motion Carried. Roll call: Ayes: Osieczonek, Tesch, Stoneburner, Thompson, Bembas, Blair, Martin Nays: None Accounts Payable CO# 11.08.17 Approval of Accounts Payable Motion by Thompson; supported by Blair to approve accounts payable of $218,548.15 as presented. Roll call: Ayes: Tesch, Stoneburner, Thompson, Bembas, Blair, Martin, Osieczonek Nays: None Items for Next Agenda Council Comments Bembas The Halloween House Tour raised $375 for the Maritime Museum. Would like to see more activities on the waterfront. Council has diverse opinions and we should reach across the aisle so not to choose people who are your friends. We are passing up people that are qualified. Osieczonek Thanks for the appointment. He will carry on in Irene Bird’s honor. Blair Welcome to Adam Ragsdale.
