Council Comment
Gillis
Thanks to Dr. Megan and Amy Amiels for the donation. Henry’s Club is having a
fundraiser on Monday for the Rohn family. Scalici Pizza will be there and there
will be raffles. Henry’s Club just purchased cement cornhole games for Riverfront
park.
Blair
Thank you again to Amy Amiels and Dr. Megan Bradford. They are always here to
support the needs of the city. Halloween in the Nac is Oct. 17th. It’s going to be a
great event and I’m proud to be part of this city.
Bembas
Halloween in the Nac is October 17th. Thanks to Ed Carter, Amy Amiels and Dr.
Megan who are all involved in the planning. Most of the businesses in town will
be there sponsoring games for kids. The parade is at 12:30 and anything goes –
golf carts, bikes, cars, on foot. Rocky Gillis is having the pallet maze again at
Smith Recreation Park. Chief Doan will manage the duck race on the river.
Tickets are $5 and that money goes to buy the candy we give to the kids.
Martin
Thank you to Amy Amiels and Dr. Megan Bradford for the donation. I coach high
school tennis. This time of year, we, as adults, have to watch over the kids,
make sure they do the right thing, help them make safe choices. As adults we
have to do that.
Skarbek
Thanks to Amy and Dr. Megan. Get out and enjoy Halloween. Be safe and have a
good time. Go Vote. Go to the polls, vote by mail, whatever works but VOTE.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Get your mammogram. Make that
appointment; get the process started. Thanks to Dr. Megan and Amy Amiels for
the donation. They are always here they never hesitate to help when something
is needed. I appreciate that. We appreciate that. They are always volunteering.
When we’re out in public, or when we’re volunteering in our community, be
mindful that our kids are watching. They’re watching what we’re doing all the
time. Be a good example. I’m happy to be able to bring my grandkids to
Halloween in the Nac and enjoy it as a gramma with them.
Just received a lovely letter from Barbara Steele detailing her happiness with
living in Algonac.
Adjournment
Motion by Blair; supported by Bembas to adjourn the meeting at 7:38 p.m.
Motion carried.
