Possible discussion as to amending zoning ordinance to insert and include a definition pertaining to shipping and storage containers and their possible uses. Chairman Bruce Bos introduced Jason Derry’s draft ordinance, amendment language, that would be under Ordinance 22.09 Accessory Building, section # 3.32 “f” defining “what is a storage container." A lengthy discussion for language clarity as well as requirements for compliance ensued. It was decided that more information was necessary in addressing the standards, requirements and uniformed language. Jim Davis will inquire further into International Container Bureau’s (63.46) categories, standard requirements for storage containers with clarification of what qualifies as WWT (wind water tight) quality. Further the Planning Commissioners addressed the concern about the “condition” of storage containers that included making sure we set standards that are clear and enforceable. Motion: To table the discussion pertaining to amending zoning ordinance language for the definition and the regulation of storage containers until the June 2023 meeting. Motion: Jim Davis 2nd: John Caras Approved NEW BUSINESS: a. Possible discussion as to whether we should look at making any amendment to the definitions and requirements pertaining to minimum acreage and road frontage in the A-2 zoning ordinance. Tabled b. Any other business which properly comes before the Planning Commission. 1.Chair Bruce Bos requested that the approved and updated Master Plan be copied and made available to Planning Commissioners and township officials. John Caras will look into this as well as adding the Parks Plan as an attachment to the Master Plan copies. 2.The Planning Commission will not hold a meeting in July 2023 Motion: To adjourn the meeting Motion: John Caras 2nd.
