The meeting started a 5:30 pm.
Laurel Shelley moved to approve the July 22, 2015 meeting minutes. Dale Gunther seconded the
motion and passed unanimously.
Audra Sorensen is the contact for the city and will start attending our meeting, she will help with
website, social media, etc.
Process Reports
Application
We reviewed the Orem and Lindon applications to see if any parts of application would apply to
us. There is a Cultural Organization and a Recreational Facility applications they include the
following questions.

Applicant Eligibility and Executive Summary
Organization Information
Mission, Community, Served, Staffing
Project Information
Project Overview, Goals, Community Impacts, Measurable Outcomes
Proposed Use of Funds
Funding, Project Funds List, Proposed Project Funding
Signature and Instructions
Review the application and contact Staci with any questions and suggestions.
The city council doesn’t want the committee to look at locking in percentages for either
cultural/arts and recreation. Funds should benefit the entire community and go to the most
deserving.
Timeline
January 31st: Start receiving applications
March 31st: Close Application Window
May 15th: Conclude applicant presentations
June 15th: Make final grant decision
July 1st: Distribute Funds
Need to add Mandatory Applicant Workshop for January 21st.

Communication Plan
Reach public and organizations with:
Website: PARC website page and a link from the city’s home page
City newsletters and city utility bill
Newspaper the American Fork section
Flyers: City Hall and Office, Rec Center, bulletin boards in business
Facebook page and Twitter
Sings for grantees that received funds
Instagram after the first year to display picture as what funding paid for
We will a logo to brand the committee and we are looking a list of non-profits in American Fork
to send the information about the application process. Any other suggestions contact Nan or
Laurel.
Brian will present our progress to the city council at their October 8 th, 3:30 pm work session if
you want to attend.
Review the prior survey for our next meeting.
Our next meeting is scheduled for October 8th at 5:30 pm, American Fork Bank Conference Room
The meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the PARC Tax Advisory Board of American Fork City will
be held on September 2nd, in the Bank of American Fork board room (33 East Main Street,
American Fork), commencing at 5:30pm. The Agenda shall be as follows:
1. Approval of minutes from July 22, 2015
2. Progress report on assignments:
a) Application document (Staci and Joe)
b) Application process and timeline (Dale and Brian)
c) Communication plan (Laurel and Nan)
d) City administrative participation, i.e., IT, legal, etc. (James)
3. 2012 AF City RAP Tax survey
4. Other matters as deemed appropriate
5. Adjournment.
