PARC Tax Advisory Board June 7, 2017 City Office Conference Room Attendees Brian Thompson Laurel Shelley Dale Gunther Camden Bird Staci Carroll Nan Kuhn Nate Mecham Clark Taylor Cherylyn Egner was excused The meeting started at 5:30 pm. Approve the May 17, 2017 minutes Nate moved to approve the May 15, 2017, meeting minutes, Dale seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Grant Applications Review and Discussion All of the grant applications were reviewed for details on how the funds would be used. $1,625,457 was requested for PARC Grants this year. The estimated PARC funds this year is approximately $922,000. After thoroughly discussing each project request the board agreed to the following draft recommendations, see chart. If the final revenue is less than the estimate the Board recommends each award be reduced by the percentage of the short fall. If the final revenue exceeds the estimate revenue the Board suggests an increase in the award for North South Park and Art Dye Park. The final recommendations will be determined at the Board’s July meeting. Clark moved to accept the draft estimates allocations, see the chart. Dale seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Laurel was asked to provide a narrative memo for the city council for the Board to review to the July 11th Council Work Session. Other Business The next meeting will be is July 5, 2017, at 5:30 pm, American Fork City Administration Building Conference Room. Everyone was encouraged to attend the July 11th Work Session where applicants will present their requests for funding and the July 25th City Council Meeting for the Council’s final decision for PARC funds. Clark moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 pm, Laurel seconded.
