PARC Tax Advisory Board July 5, 2017 City Office Conference Room Attendees Brian Thompson Laurel Shelley Dale Gunther Camden Bird Staci Carroll Nan Kuhn Nate Mecham Clark Taylor Cherylyn Egner was excused The meeting started at 5:30 pm. Approve the June 7, 2017 minutes Clark moved to approve the June 7, 2017, meeting minutes, with one correction remove the North South Park in paragraph 3. Staci seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Grant Applications Review and Discussion $1,625,457 was requested for PARC Grants this year. After thoroughly discussing each project request the board agreed to the forward the following recommendations to the city council, see chart. The Council will determine the amount each applicant will receive, after the final FY-2017 PARC tax revenue is received. Laurel prepared a narrative memo for the July 11th Council Work Session. Camden will notify applicants and encourage them to attend the work session in case the council has any questions. Everyone is encouraged to attend the July 11th Work Session and the July 25th City Council Meeting where the final decision for PARC funds will be announced. Board Appointments Laurel, Staci, Clark and Nate were appointed for 2 years which expires this year, except for Clark since his term began earlier this year. Please notify Brian if you want to be reappointed for another 2 years. Brian, Dale and Nan are appointed for 3 years. Other Business The next meeting will be is October 4, 2017, at 5:30 pm, American Fork City Administration Building Conference Room.
