PARC Tax Advisory Board May 5, 2021 Virtual Public Meeting / ZOOM Video Conference Attendees Brian Thompson Laurel Shelley Karen Schaack Brandon Smith Cherylyn Egner Nan Kuhn Camden Bird Scott Okelberry Nate Mecham Clark Taylor The meeting started at 5:00 pm. Scott moved to approve the March 17, 24, 31 and April 14 meetings minutes, Brandon seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Second Round of Grant Applications: With approximately $160,000 left to allocate, the Board will open a second round for applications starting May 10th through May 24th. If organizational information has already been submitted in the first round, then only a new application needs to be submitted. First time applicants will need to submit both the organizational information with the application and watch the workshop video online. Camden will send information about the 2nd round of applications, place on social media and the PARC and city’s websites. PARC Administration Funds The Board continued to discuss how to spend the approximately $23,000 administration funds the following suggestions: • Prepare, produce, and distribute an informational only brochure • Promotional only, not mentioning the tax renewal • A map with a list of projects completed, and the amount received for each project • Produce several short videos showing PARC projects, perhaps being 1 to 2 minute long • Hold open houses at various locations throughout the city Other Business a.
