Parc Tax Advisory Board March 29, 2023 Minutes Attendees Brian Thompson Karen Schaack Clark Taylor Hugh Johnson Katie Sorensen Derek Rykert Brandon Smith Kimberlie Paulson Reggie Walker Camden Bird Scott Okelberry Spencer Stevens Kristina Wesemann Josh Walker Scott Okelberry began the meeting at 6 pm. Minutes from March 22, 2023 were approved by Brian Thompson. A motion to second was made by Brandon Smith and the motion passed. Discussion We began discussion at the top of the excel spreadsheet and began working our way down. First, we agreed unanimously that ACT would be out based on the PG performances and previous recommendations from the parc board and city council. Next we discussed the projects from American Fork City. Playgrounds and restrooms. We weighed the options and priorites on the various playground and restroom upgrades. We made a few selections but will need to circle back towards the end to finalize some. Bike rack program was discussed and based on the need and petition from city residents we did go with a full funding. ADA we-go swing and Fox Hollow beverage cart were discussed at length and no final recommendation was made. We will need to circle back to a final on these two. Library projects - Sound booth was fully funded and other projects were averaged. Friends of the Library projects - book fairy and writing course fully funded. Author event and activity book mostly funded. Next we covered the 3 at the bottom of the list. WMA, WCD, TCM. These were all close and we averaged the allocation to each. We did not have time to cover TAF, HCA, RTC, or Live AF and will cover these organizations and projects in the next meeting as well as circle back to a few left undecided such as the we-go swing and beverage cart. Board Assignments Camden Bird sent out the updated excel form as it stood at end of meeting. Next meeting will be scheduled for two hours on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Kimberlie Paulson motioned to adjourn the meeting. Hugh Johnson seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
