RECEIVED By City Clerk at 2:03 pm, 8/16/21 AMESBURY CITY HALL 62 Friend Street Amesbury, MA 01913 City Council Finance Committee Meeting Minutes Budget Hearing May 27, 2021 at 7:00 PM Virtual meeting This meeting was conducted under the ‘Executive Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law G.L. c.30A, §20’, signed on March 12, 2020. The public could view this meeting on ACTV Channel 12, the ACTV website, or ACTV’s Facebook page. Public comment was made available by email ahead of time or by submitting comments on the Facebook Live feed during the meeting. Meeting was called to order at 7:05pm Roll call was taken, present were: Councilor Einson, Councilor Mandeville, Councilor Gilday, Councilor Kisieleski, Councilor Hogg, Councilor Stanganelli, Councilor Rinaldi, Councilor Wheeler, and Councilor Lennon. Youth Services Recreation Director, Kathy Crowley, presented to the City Council the budget for Youth Services. The Council and Kathy Crowley went through the budget, line item by line item, asking various questions. Veterans Services Director of Veterans Services, Kevin Hunt, presented to the City Council the budget for Veterans Services. The Council and Kevin Hunt went through the budget, line item by line item, asking various questions. Police Department Acting Chief of Police, Craig Bailey, gave a detailed presentation to the City Council for the budget of the Police Department and the Harbormaster. The Council and Chief Bailey went through the budget presentation, line item by line item, and asked various questions. Fire Department Fire Chief, Kenneth Berkenbush, presented to the City Council the budget for the Fire Department. The Council and Chief Berkenbush went through the budget, line item by line item, asking various questions. 1 Health Services & Inspectional Services Fire Chief Kenneth Berkenbush and Inspectional Services Director Ernest Creveling, gave a detailed presentation to the City Council for the budget for the offices of Health and Inspectional Service. The Council, Chief Berkenbush and Ernest Creveling went through the budget presentation, line item by line item, and asked various questions. Councilor Lennon motioned to adjourn. Councilor Wheeler seconded this motion. Roll call was taken 8 out of 9 members voted yes, (Kisieleski abstained). Motion passed.
