RECEIVED By City Clerk at 1:58 pm, 8/16/21 AMESBURY CITY HALL 62 Friend Street Amesbury, MA 01913 City Council Finance Committee Meeting Minutes Budget Hearing May 26, 2021 at 7:00 PM Virtual meeting This meeting was conducted under the ‘Executive Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law G.L. c.30A, §20’, signed on March 12, 2020. The public could view this meeting on ACTV Channel 12, the ACTV website, or ACTV’s Facebook page. Public comment was made available by email ahead of time or by submitting comments on the Facebook Live feed during the meeting. Meeting was called to order at 7:03pm Roll call was taken, present were: Councilor Einson, Councilor Mandeville, Councilor Gilday, Councilor Kisieleski, Councilor Hogg, Councilor Stanganelli, Councilor Rinaldi, Councilor Wheeler, and Councilor Lennon. Amesbury Public Schools Roll call was taken for the School Committee, present were: Maryann Welch, Peter Hoyt and Mel Webster. Acting Superintendent, Elizabeth McAndrews, Director of Business and Operations Joan Liporto and members of the School Committee gave a detailed presentation to the City Council for the budget of the Amesbury Public Schools. The Council and aforementioned parties went through the budget presentation, line item by line item, asking various questions. Councilor Lennon motioned to adjourn. This motion was seconded by Councilor Rinaldi. Roll call was taken 8 out of 9 members present voted yes, (Kisieleski did not respond). Motion passed.
