It was also clarified that there is only one building sign. The application only consists of two signs that are being modified excluding signs on the pump and other directional signs. The applicant was ok with the sign being painted and not lit. Motion by Rachel to make a positive recommendation for the application as revised and with a condition that the building mounted sign not being lit. Sec- ond by Matt. Approved Historic Preservation Special Permit - 6 Center Street The Applicant presented revised drawings and site plan. The maple tree is now proposed to be removed. The carriage house has been moved out of the rear yard setback. DRC discussed the parking layout. Currently, six parking spaces are shown as tandem parking in three rows. This is not very conducive to snow re- moval, access to parked vehicles, trying to get various cars in and out. The Appli- DRC Minutes 01-03-2023 1 cant was asked to review the parking layout to provide better vehicular access and egress and use angled parking as an alternative to the current layout. DRC reviewed the preliminary drawings and noted the following: 1. Update the drawings with additional dimensions, description of materials and details as discussed at this meeting; 2. Provide additional details on the site plan for parking, fencing and land- scape materials; 3. Width on corner boards; 4. Width of door and window casings, and if there is a lintel (i.e. a taller head piece on the trim) how tall it is (there appears to be a lintel and apron on some windows and not others, and it should be consistent); 5. Details, including width, height, and trim style, on the columns, railings, lattice, small roofs on rear deck (maybe just make them porches?), roof eaves and rakes on the main house, and the entry ways; 6. Clarification on why the decks on the rear have a step down; 7. Specs on all publicly visible exterior doors; 8. Change shape of rear stairs so they are not visible from the front elevation.
