By City Clerk at 2:41 pm, Sep 11, 2023 Notice of Public Hearings/Availability for Review and Comment Notice is hereby given of the availability of the following draft documents for public review and comment: • Draft Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) • Draft Coordinated Human Services Transit Plan (CHSTP) The Metropolitan Transportation Plan is the long-range transportation plan for the region. This plan identifies how the MPO will manage and operate a multi-modal transportation system (including transit, highway, bicycle, pedestrian, and accessible transportation) to meet the region’s economic, transportation, development and sustainability goals – among others – for a 25-year planning horizon, while remaining fiscally constrained. The Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan) supports improved coordination of transportation for seniors and people with disabilities in the Merrimack Valley region. This plan also guides transportation providers in the Merrimack Valley region who are developing proposals to request funding from the Federal Transit Administration’s Section 5310 Program. To be eligible for funding, a proposal must meet a need identified in the Coordinated Plan. The above referenced document is available for review on the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) website ( www.mvpc.org ) for the twenty-one (21) day review period beginning on September 6, 2023, and ending on September 26, 2023. MVMPO staff will accept emailed written comments on the draft documents through July 25, 2023.
