He said he is looking for a lot to move the trucks to but right now, his office is in his house and the equipment, when not a job site, is stored in his yard. He did state that he planned on having about 80 yards of gravel delivered to his residence to park the commercial vehicles as he received a violation for parking them on the grassy area. He continued to state he has plans to build a two-story garage attached to the home for storage of the vehicles and debris on his property. He is also looking to do an expansion on the house for additional storage. Christopher Plersch, 22 Marion Road., commented that Mr. Franco has created a construction site. Mr. Franco told him in December that he would move the vehicles, but they are still there. He states when they are mobilizing, they block the entire street. He stated he pays taxes for a residential area; not commercial. He stated that Mr. Franco lied to him about his plans to move the trailers and trucks out. Lucille Deane, 27 Marion Road, commented that the property looks like a commercial lot, it devalues the property. She stated Mr. Franco has construction vehicles started up at 5-5:30AM. She stated flood lights were installed and feels that it has become an unattractive nuisance. Trustee Whalen clarified with Mr. Franco that given the Board’s denial, the vehicles are not allowed to be stored on the property, reminding him that the property is zoned residential, not commercial. 5 Board of Trustees Minutes February 10, 2020 Taxicab Company License (Transfer) John Tomitz, 390 Suffolk Ave. Islandia, NY 11749 for JTE Enterprises Inc. d/b/a Lindys d/b/a LI Yellow Cab d/b/a Reliable MOTION to APPROVE with stipulations was made by Trustee O’Neill and seconded by Trustee Whalen Vote on Motion: Mayor Siry aye Deputy Mayor Smith aye Trustee Bernius aye Trustee Whalen aye Trustee O’Neill aye Motion Carried: 5 ayes 0 nays Taxicab Driver’s License – Renewal Janis L.
