Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m.

The salute to the flag was led by Chief Bryan Burton.
Mayor Siry welcomed everyone to the January 25th Meeting of the Board of Trustees, conducted via Zoom
Meeting. He reminded residents that the Covid-19 pandemic is still a real concern; please remain vigilant.
Deputy Mayor Smith reported good news: The Warehouse, on Broadway, is open in for dinner and shows.
Space is limited so give them a call. Please continue to support our establishments in the Village, including
the Lu’s Deli, which is now open at Ocean Avenue and Merrick Road.
St. Martin’s Church will be hosting a Blood Drive on Feb. 18th from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please sign up to give.
The Village website features a Community Corner page that lists all the restaurants in the Village and their
contacts. Please check out the list and patronize them.

Mayor Siry proposed stipulations including: the permit duration be limited to a one-year, the applicants must
come up with a solution for their parking problem, and they must not park within 15 feet of the fire hydrant,
parking as far away from it as possible.

That pursuant to Executive Order No. 202.17 any constituent voting in person in the GENERAL VILLAGE
ELECTION for the Village of Amityville, held in said Village Tuesday, the 16th day of March 2021, shall be
required to wear a mask/face covering upon entering and for the duration of their time spent at their polling
facility and maintain a 6 feet distance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The Board of Trustees accepts the completion of the Town of Babylon project Village of Amityville
Waterfront Resiliency, grant funded through the Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery. NYCR-0074 Village

Mayor Siry stated that there will be a vote on the proposed Film and Photography law on February 8th. Village
Attorney noted that the language in the law is meant as a guideline and stipulations can be tailored to
individual requests.
Public Comments
Debbie Magnani, 75 Meadow La., asked about the status of the Court date for the Bayside Marina at the end
of Meadow Lane. She was reminded to check with the Court to see if it their violations will be addressed at
the February 4th session. Building Inspector Bryan Donato said that their application to the Planning Board is
expected to be on the March agenda.
Al Strollo, 84 New Point Pl., also asked for an update on the Marina’s Court and Planning Board dates.
Joan Donnison, 150 South Ketcham Ave., shared that the Bay Village Civic Association held a second raffle
for their membership in which they purchased gift cards to support businesses in the Village. She asked that
everyone continue to frequent our local restaurants and shops.
Mayor Siry noted that although some indoor high school sports, such as basketball are again permitted, the
Village will not be opening the basketball nets at this time. He warned that there have been cases of the new
strain of Covid detected in Massapequa, so please wear masks and continue to take precautions.
