Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor Siry welcomed everyone to the meeting and invited APD Chief Bryan Burton to conduct the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Good News
Deputy Mayor Smith announced upcoming dates and events, including:
Tuesday, May 10th 2nd Community Meeting for the Downtown Revitalization Project, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. at Park Ave. School South Gym. All are invited to voice their opinions on the submitted projects.
Wednesday, May 18th, LPC Meeting for DRI, 11 a.m. at Amityville Fire Dept. (public invited.)
Saturday, May 21st, 9 a.m., Ketcham’s Creek Clean Up by Bay Village Civic Association, Save the
Great South Bay Society and Town of Babylon.
Sunday, May 22nd, 3 p.m., Masonic Lodge – 100th anniversary celebration followed by a dinner at the
lodge; also Historical Society Musicale, St. Mary’s Church
Thursday, June 2nd, Rotary Gift of Life Gala
Saturday, June 4th, 9 a.m., Historical Society’s Vintage Treasure sale at the Lauder Museum
Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th - Colored Colors Craft Market on the Triangle; also Art in

RESOLUTION NO 22-05-09-01
Resolution authorizing Phase I investigation of 247 Broadway, Amityville, NY
Whereas the Board of Trustees wishes to acquire the real property located at 247 Broadway, Amityville,
NY for municipal purposes, and
Whereas knowledge of the environmental condition of said property is appropriate as part of the due
diligence process in acquiring such property, and
Whereas a Phase I environmental investigation will provide at least a preliminary report on said
environmental condition, and
Whereas the Village has received a proposed contract from Middleton Environmental Inc. a reputable
environmental contractor, to perform said Phase I for the sum of $2,200
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1) The Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to execute such contract with Middleton
Environmental Inc. to perform a Phase I investigation and report for 247 Broadway, Amityville, NY for
the sum of $2,200
2) This Resolution is effective immediately

Resolution No 22-05-09-02 amending 2022/2023 Village of Amityville Budget
WHEREAS, at the Board of Trustee meeting held on April 11, 2022, the Board of Trustees approved the
proposed 2022-2023 budget in the total amount of $18,942,365, with a real property tax levy of
$13,927,626, and a tax rate of $37.93/100;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve to amend the following
estimated revenues categories of the 2022-2023 adopted budget: Increase Appropriated Fund Balance
from $1,017,105 to $1,054,513; decrease Real Property Taxes from $13,927,626 to $13,890,907, which
lowers the tax rate to $37.83/100; and decrease Payments In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) from $567,701 to
$567,011 as a result of the lower tax rate.

Mayor Siry stated that due to adjustments on the tax roll after the 2022/2023 Budget adoption, the
Village will amend the budget to reflect a 10 cent per-hundred reduction in the tax rate.
