The Board of Trustees Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Michael O’Neill, Deputy Mayor Owen E. Brooks, Jr.; Trustee

Mayor Michael O’Neill welcomed everyone to the Board of Trustees Meeting and announced that Trustee
Russo was unable attend due to a work ceremony. He asked Lt. Frank Caramanica to lead the Pledge of
Allegiance.
The Mayor asked Deputy Mayor Owen Brooks to share upcoming events: The Trustees will be
barbecuing at the Senior Center’s lunch on July 16th; the Beach Sailing Program is being hosted by Unqua
Yacht Club for the annual Regatta on July 19th, and the Rotary Club’s Duck Race fundraiser takes place
on August 2nd at the Beach.
Mayor O’Neill was honored to announce the winners of the annual Junior League Essay Contest awards:
First Place - Mary Cathleen McGuire and Second place – Adrianna Alfieri. He shared the topics of their
essays which summarized the impact that a favorite book had on their lives.

Public Comments
Amanda Duggan, 55 MacDonald Ave., brought complaints to the Board about a neighboring property at 1
Mader Place, citing concerns about environmental issues, work conditions and her family’s privacy.
John Russell, 15 Farragut Rd., asked about allowable use of the Mader Pl. property, including the parking of
vehicles.
Chris Papile, 22 Marion Rd., complained about on-street parking issues on and around Marion Rd., caused
by patrons of S. Ketcham Ave. establishment. He also asked the Village to allow work to resume at 32
Marion Rd. which has a stop work order in effect.
Denise Fabella, President, Hidden Lakes Estates, asked permission for residents of Hidden Lakes to park on
Lake Drive near Avon Lake while the community’s parking lot is seal-coated in August. A request will be
considered at the next meeting.
