Land Angie Brown Jason Fenwick APPROVAL OF MINUTES Meeting was called to order at 3:02 p.m. The minutes of January 6, 2015 were approved as presented. Member Jones made the motion and Member Clark seconds. The motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS OPEN BIDS FOR THE 67TH STREET TREE REMOVAL City Attorney Ashley Hopper opened the bids for the 67th Street Tree Removal. Two bids were submitted. The bid submitted by Dependable Tree Service, Incorporated was in the amount of $37,150.00. The bid submitted by Jerry Fredericks was in the amount of $34,977.00. City Engineer Mike Spyers requested the Board refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office to be returned at a later date with a recommendation. Member Clark moved to refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office for review. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. OPEN BIDS FOR THE 60TH STREET IMPROVEMENT PHASE II City Attorney Ashley Hopper opened the bids for the 60th Street Improvement Phase II. Three bids were submitted. The bid submitted by E&B Paving, Incorporated was in the amount of $790,285.00. The bid submitted by BL Brown Construction and Excavation, Incorporated was in the amount of $887,251.61. The bid submitted by Milestone was in the amount of $893,690.00. City Engineer Mike Spyers requested the Board refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office to be returned at a later date with a recommendation. Member Jones moved to refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office for review. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. OPEN QUOTES ON THE DEER CREEK FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT City Attorney Ashley Hopper opened the bids for the Deer Creek Force Main Replacement Project. Three bids were submitted. The bid submitted by BL Brown Construction and Excavation, Incorporated was in the amount of $58,894.00. The bid submitted by Watson’s Excavating, Incorporated (Anderson) was in the amount of $63,617.00. The bid submitted by Watson Excavating, Incorporated (Redkey) was in the amount of $54,450.00. City Engineer Mike Spyers requested the Board refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office to be returned at a later date with a recommendation. Member Clark moved to refer the bids back to the Engineer’s office for review. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. OPEN BIDS FOR A LIGHT DUTY PARATRANSIT BUS City Attorney Ashley Hopper opened the bids for the Light Duty Paratransit Bus. One bid was submitted by Tesco in the unit price amount of $82,798.00 and in the extended cost of $165,596.00. John Inholt, City of Anderson Transit System (CATS), requested the Board refer the bids back to CATS to be returned at a later date with a recommendation. Member Jones moved to refer the bids back to CATS for review. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS OLD BUSINES CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board it was unanimously passed to pay the claims in the amount of $8,729,760.24. Member Jones made the motion to pay the bills and Member Clark seconds. Motion passed unanimously.
