City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting: April 7, 2015 Board of Public Works PRESENT: Pete Heuer, Chariman Ken de la Bastide Roger Clark, Member Michael Farmer Charlie Jones, Member Mike Spyers Ashley Hopper, City Attorney Jason Fenwick Charlee Turner, Recording Secretary APPROVAL OF MINUTES Meeting was called to order at 3:01 p.m. Member Jones made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Member Clark seconded. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS AWARD AN EMERGENCY QUOTE TO REPAIR THE RETAINING WALL AT 31ST AND CENTRAL City Engineer Mike Spyers recommended the Board award an emergency quote for the repair of the collapsed retaining wall at 205 E 31st to CSI in the amount of $19,500 as the company submitted the lowest quote. Five quotes were received. Partners –N- Concrete submitted a quote in the amount of $24,131.70; Gerry submitted a quote in the amount of $21,900.00; MK Betts submitted a quote in the amount of $21,875.00; Shepherd submitted a quote in the amount of $19,850.00; and, CSI submitted a quote in the amount of $19,500.00. Member Clark moved to declare the repair an emergency. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Member Jones moved to award the emergency quote to CSI. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS OLD BUSINESS CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board it was unanimously passed to pay the claims in the amount of $1,739,645.70. Member Jones made the motion to pay the bills and Member Clark seconds. Motion passed unanimously.
