City of Anderson Minutes of the Special Meeting: December 7, 2015 Board of Public Works PRESENT: Pete Heuer, Chairman Mike Spyers Charlie Jones, Member Ken de la Bastide Ashley Hopper, City Attorney Lori Young José Espinoza, Acting Recorder CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 3:02 p.m. by Chairman Pete Heuer NEW BUSINESS: AWARD BID FOR WELL REPLACEMENT PROJECT Mike Spyers, City Engineer requested that the Board award the 4 well replacements to Fredrick’s, Inc. in the amount of $1,612,566.00 as they were the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. He stated that the four wells included were Tucker Well, Hall Well, Tuxford Well, and Srackengast Well. Member Jones moved to award the 4 well replacements to Frederick’s Inc. Chairman Heuer seconded. Motion passed unanimously. AWARD BID FOR WATERLINE REPLACEMENT IN HOMEWOOD ADDITION Mike Spyers, City Engineer requested that the Board award the Contract for the Homewood Water Main Replacement to Watson Excavating in the amount of $1,679,269.00 as they were the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. He added that this project will be paid for by the State Revolving Fund thru the Water Department. Member Jones moved to award the Contract for the Homewood Water Main Replacement to Watson Excavating in the amount of $1,679,269.00. Chairman Heuer seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
