MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION June 8, 2017 PUBLIC MEETING Resolution EDC0 5-17 Resolution 5:35 p.m. Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Conference Room #1 Mustin Builders, 4907 Bowie Drive 120 East 8th Street Mr. Winkler explained this is for Lot 189B in Anderson, IN 46016 Southmain Village West Phase Three. It is for a single-family dwelling intended for human habitation. MEMBERS PRESENT Construction cost is $195,000, and it qualifies for a Antony Bibbs, Vice President three year abatement. He recommends approval of Mary Jamerson, Secretary / Treasurer the resolution. Lisa Hobbs, Member Roger Reed, Member Mr. Lanane stated the administration recommends approval. MEMBERS ABSENT Bill Nagengast, President Ms. Hobbs moved to approve Resolution EDC05-17. Mr. Reed seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 4 STAFF PRESENT yes, 0 no. Tim Lanane, City Attorney Greg Winkler, Executive Director MISCELLANEOUS April Phillips, Economic Development Staff ADJOURNMENT OTHERS PRESENT Mr. Bibbs adjourned the meeting at 5:40 p.m. Lawrence Johnson, Mustin Builders ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM Mr. Bibbs called the meeting to order at 5:35 pm and declared a quorum with four (4) members in attendance. MINUTES Mrs. Jamerson moved to approve the May 11, 2017, minutes as received. Mr. Reed seconded. Motion passed; 4 yes, 0 no. BUSINESS Resolution EDC0 4-17 Resolution Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Mustin Builders, 4909 Bowie Drive Mr. Winkler explained this is for Lot 189A in Southmain Village West Phase Three. A location map was presented. Construction cost is $201,000, and it qualifies for a three year abatement. He recommends approval of the resolution. Mr. Lanane stated the administration recommends approval as it does consist of new construction of a single-family dwelling. Ms. Hobbs moved to approve Resolution EDC04-17. Mrs. Jamerson seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 4 yes, 0 no.
