MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION November 14, 2019 PUBLIC MEETING Mr. Nagengast moved to adjourn the meeting and 4:30pm Mr. Reed seconded. Meeting adjourned at 5:02 p.m. Conference Room #105 120 East 8th Street Anderson, IN 46016 MEMBERS PRESENT Lance Stephenson, President Roger Reed Bill Nagengast STAFF PRESENT Greg Winkler, ED Director Tim Lanane, City Attorney Karen Soetenga, ED Staff OTHERS PRESENT Stephanie Adams, Tax Abatement Applicant Marc Slayton, ED Deputy Director ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM Mr. Stephenson called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m. and declared a quorum with three (3) members in attendance. MINUTES Mr. Nagengast moved to approve the October 10, 2019 minutes as presented. Mr. Reed seconded. Motion passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. NEW BUSINESS EDC19-19 – Resolution Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Prestige Enterprises 317 – 3220 Marine Drive Resolution EDC19-19 a residential tax abatement for Prestige Enterprises 317. Mr. Winkler stated the address is 3220 Marine Drive. The request is for a six-year tax abatement, as it is considered in-fill housing. Construction will commence before December 31, 2019, for a single-family dwelling intended for human habitation. Improvements to the property will be at an estimated cost of $60,000.00. Ms. Adams, tax abatement applicant stated the cost is now estimated at $80,000. Ms. Adams briefed members on the new construction. Brief discussion followed. Ms. Adams stated ground level will be used for storage of cars. Discussion followed. Mr. Reed moved to approve Resolution EDC19-19 for Prestige Enterprises 317 and. Mr. Nagengast seconded.
