“Sage Trail and Girl Scout Camp access to Forest Service land”. The motion was seconded by

V. Approve May 11, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Diane Mereness made a motion to approve the meeting minutes as written. The motion
was seconded by Carolyn Smith and passed unanimously.
VI. Old Business
A. Sage Trail-Finding Access to Forest Land
Brian Smith reported that one of the AAFPO greenbelts runs along-side the Girl Scout
camp. He stated that Carl Nelson said the land was plotted wrong initially but has since
been straightened out. The north end of Via del Rey is a common use easement.
B. Enchanted Circle Trail proposal and assessment
Brian Smith reported that all 25 trails in the Angel Fire area have been assessed and the
information placed on the Trust for Public Land website. The Smiths conducted most of
the trail assessments with the help of the Masons.
VII. New Business
A. Disc Golf donation-where to put it
The Committee agreed there were two options regarding the location of the Disc Golf
course. The first is on the AAFPO greenbelt following along Bobcat Trail. The second is
at Allen Fields. Brian Smith agreed to discuss the use of the greenbelt for the disc golf
course to the AAFPO board and get back to the Committee regarding the results. Brent
Dunn said he would be willing to speak to AAFPO about the course.

IX. Other Business
Brian Smith discussed how we could access the Forest Service land from the greenbelt
through the Woop-de-doo trail. We would need a parking area at the end of Armijo Drive,
preferably on the Girl Scout land. We would then build a switchback trail to the Forest
Service property. The area would need to be fenced to protect the Girl Scout property.
Michael Dean said he discussed with the Village an option to do this in exchange for water
lines. Tracy Orr said she would investigate this with the supervisor of the water department.
X. Requests and Responses from the Audience-None
XI. Next meeting and Adjournment
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, July 20th at 3:30pm at Village Hall. With no
further business, Charles Earhart made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was
seconded by Katrina White and the meeting was adjourned.
