Sandy says that Tracy had a verbal agreement but that is not enough. We need a written agreement from CS Ranch (MOU, easement). Bret states that lawyers need to be involved. Village will pick this up and move forward. Dollar General now owns some of the CS Ranch property. Not sure who owns the property where the trail will be. There are no resolutions passed by the Council as far as Bret knows. Committee wants the village to move forward. Schedule a time for Brian, Patrick, Bret and Ed to walk it. Wednesday, August 22 @ 9am meet at Village Hall. Shay needs to order signage that says Frank Young Trail. Committee just wants the school connected to the village. B. Cougar Trail: roughly a mile into it. Patrick has an employee that will be busy with this in Sept. Surveyor has been involved. Patrick will meet with him soon at the water tank. Patrick is proposing a parking lot at Monte Verde Lake. Should talk to Christine from zoning. C. New document for committee. Might need permission from Janet Sailor for using her trail map. Deadfall Cleanup: Wildland Fire Manager and Brian walked the Oesta Vista Trail. The fire department stated that if the committee could clear 30 feet on either side of the trail that would be very helpful. Trekkers, resort, and others want to help. A plan is being made to remove dead foliage. It will be a long project (more than a year). Bret asked if Firewood Angels could get in there but there is no room on the trail.
