Box 610 Angel Fire, NM 87710 575-377-3232 Notice of Public Meeting Pedestrian Trails Committee Meeting Minutes Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at 3:30 pm at Angel Fire Community Center I. Call to Order- Brian called the meeting to order at 3:35pm II. Pledge of Allegiance III. Roll Call-Brian Smith, Carolyn Smith, Diane Mereness, Patrick West, Village rep-Shay Tibljas. A quorum was established. Not in attendance-Bill Hughes, Randy Kaiser, Katrina White. IV. Approval of Agenda-Brian motioned to approve, Carolyn seconded. V. Approval of Minutes from the June 20, 2018 Meeting-Brian motioned to approve with 2 grammatical changes, Carolyn seconded. VI. Old Business A. Frank Young Trail Extension Update-Did Tracy Orr get it approved? Did it ever go to Council? Last walk through was April 2017.Is everything cleared with the Resort, CS Ranch, and the Village for this? Did it go to Council before? Shay stated, if all cleared, hope to start end of August. B. Update on Cougar Trail-Patrick stated he has about ½ mile done and it looks good. Patrick is wondering where signage and parking will be? Does the Village put a culvert in for this? Patrick would like to put a parking lot at Monte Verde Lake, Resort property between 434 and Via Del Rey, on Lakeview. VIII. New Business A. Updated document describing possible new trails-Brian would like feedback on the proposed draft and wants to have it ready in the Fall. Were there any previous plans for a trail from MVHS to the Allen Fields? B. Update on Meeting with Camino Real Trail Group-Patrick stated he has emailed with them and they are interested in motorized vehicles being allowed. Patrick let them know that the Resort isn’t interested in motorized at this point. VIIII. Reports & Updates A. Sendero North-None B. Sendero South-None D. Bobcat-None E. Sage-None F. Lady Slipper-Patrick stated the fence has been fixed. G. Parking-None H. AAFPO-Brian gave proposal to Board to clean up Oeste Vista, and to ask the Fire Chiefs advice on how to go about the cleanup. Where to put everything? The Board approved the proposal. Brian will have a meeting with the Chief. X. Requests and Responses from the Audience-None XI. Next Meeting Date and Adjournment-Next meeting will be August 16th, 3:30pm at the Angel Fire Community Center. Brian motioned to adjourn, Patrick seconded. Meeting adjourned at 4:55pm.
