Box 610 Angel Fire, NM 87710 575-377-3232 Notice of Public Meeting Pedestrian Trails Committee Meeting Minutes for Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at 3:30 pm at Angel Fire Community Center I. Call to Order-3:30 pm by Brian Smith II. Pledge of Allegiance III. Roll Call-Brian Smith, Diane Mereness, Carolyn Smith, Bill Hughes, Randy Kaiser, Katrina White all in attendance. A quorum was established. Not in attendance-Patrick West. Village Rep- Shay Tibljas. Visiting-Sandy Garcia and Christine Breault. IV. Approval of Agenda-Brian Smith motioned to approve, Randy Kaiser seconded. V. Approval of Minutes from the August 16, 2018 Meeting-Brian motioned to approve with corrections, Carolyn seconded. VI. Old Business A. Frank Young Trail Extension Update-Christine Breault stated we found the sewer line easement and due to the easement, a trail along the easement is far more doable than the higher trail. Rick Tafoya has talked to the Resort about them cleaning up around the new proposed trail. Brian thought a trail couldn’t be that close to a powerline, Christine said a building can’t be a trail can. Randy stated concern about the proposed trail being and ugly trail. Shay, Christine and Sandy stated the Village recommends the lower trail along the easement due to property issues. Shay stated the Village would like the committee’s recommendation for council. Bill asked if the Village if they could mark the trail so they could see it better and walk it before they give a recommendation. Shay stated that the Village should be able to do that. B. Update on Cougar Trail-Brian said that Patrick will start it next week. C. New Trails Plan Document-Brian made a couple corrections. Easement trail to High School was added. D. Signage for Village Trails-Shay stated they are being made now and should arrive in about 2 weeks. E. Updating the Trails Brochure-It is believed that there will need to be more copies made in the Spring. Shay and Brian will check on this. Then plan on getting new ones made with new trails and maps. VIII. New Business A. Update on Meeting with Camino Real Trail Group-No information VIIII. Reports & Updates A. Sendero North B. Sendero South-Wildflowers are starting to take over the trail. D. Bobcat-Good shape, just rerouted on some, too steep. E. Sage F. Lady Slipper-Katrina stated Questa bridge has water overflow. Brian stated per Patrick they will fix it next week. Resort scheduled to fix Monte Verde trail. G. Parking-Ask Christine Breault with the Village, about what Patrick has to do to make parking lot  H. AAFPO-Brian stated there is money for new trails this year. X. Requests and Responses from the Audience- Brian mentioned doing a comment box about the trails at the Visitors Center. Sandy Garcia will talk to Jimmy Linton at the Visitors Center about this. XI. Next Meeting Date and Adjournment-Randy motioned to adjourn, 4:45pm. Bill seconded.
