Village of Angel Fire Angel Fire, NM 87710 (575) 377-3232 Pedestrian Trails Committee Meeting Minutes Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Center Call to Order: Jeff Weeks called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. Roll Call: Jeff Weeks, Shay Tibljas, John Carmack, Tim Kelly, Matt Billingsley, Lonny Natter, Christine Smith, Attila Bality, Chris Sorensen (by phone). Business Conducted: • This was the initial meeting of the Pedestrian Trails Committee since the committee was disbanded in 2020. • Matt Billingsley and Attila Bality were unanimously elected as Co-Chairs of the committee. • Tim Kelly was unanimously elected as Secretary of the committee. • Various discussion was conducted regarding known prior history of the committee. Shay Tibljas had a copy of a report entitled “Planned/Proposed/Possible New Trails for Angel Fire” prepared in 2018 by the then Angel Fire Pedestrian Trails Committee. Contents of the report were briefly discussed. Shay will scan and circulate a copy of the report to committee members via email so that they can review in more detail. • Various other brainstorming was conducted regarding Angel Fire area existing and potential new trails and the potential missions and goals of the committee. • The committee expressed a desire to have a representative from Angel Fire Resort on the committee. Matt Billingsley will approach Patrick West to see if he is willing to join the committee (he is responsible for the Resort trails and was a former member of the committee in the past). • Frequency and timing of future meetings was discussed. Thursday mornings worked best for all. Initially, it was thought meeting to be held every other week, then at some point on a less frequent basis. Next Meeting Date and Adjournment: The next meeting date will be Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Center.
