Larcom Jr. Building, 2nd Floor Council Work Room, 301 E. Huron St. ROLL CALL Steve Gerhart, Deputy City Clerk; and Kelly Beattie Boards and Commissions Coordinator; were also present. Present: 3- Jacqueline Beaudry, Jason Forsberg, and Matt Thomas Absent: 2- Stephen Postema, and Robert Pfannes APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Forsberg, that the Agenda be approved as presented. On a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Election Commission Meeting Minutes of July 27, 2018 Attachments: 2018-07-27 EC Minutes.pdf A motion was made by Forsberg, seconded by Thomas, that the Minutes of July 27, 2018 be approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council, due on 9/4/2018. On a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS City of Ann Arbor Page 1 Election Commission Meeting Minutes - Final August 24, 2018 City of Ann Arbor Election Commission Resolution to Establish Absent Voter Count Boards and Receiving Boards for the Statewide General Election to be Held in the City of Ann Arbor on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by Forsberg, that the Resolution be approved by the Commission. On a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried. Resolution to Approve New Election Inspector Pay Scales The Commission moved to amend the floater bonus to $15.00 per election. A motion was made that the Amended Resolution be Recommended for approval to the City Council, due on 9/4/2018. On a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Resolution to Permanently Relocate Precinct 1-4 from the Ann Arbor Community Center, 625 N. Main Street, to Second Baptist Church, 850 Red Oak Drive, beginning with the Statewide General Election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 Attachments: AACC termination letter 0518.pdf A motion was made by Forsberg, seconded by Thomas, that the Resolution be recommended for approval to the City Council, due on 9/4/2018. On a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried. INFORMATION/UPCOMING BUSINESS The City Clerk informed the Election Commission of a recent FOIA request received by the City surrounding the records of the 2016 Presidential Election. It was announced that the next meetings of the Election Commission will include the appointment of election inspectors as well as a public accuracy test for the November 2018 Election.
