On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT - 3 MINUTES PER SPEAKER (MOLLY KLEINMAN) No verbal comments provided. 20-0702 Public Communications Received and Filed INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION A2Zero Update (MISSY STULTS) Commissioner questions and comments included: • Where to find the latest version of the plan? • Energy efficient home improvements • Transit improvements • CO2 emissions • Land use/Density DDA Parking/Curbside Management Update (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Commissioner questions and comments included: • ADA parking space quantity determinations - parking lot/parking structure, on-street • Lawsuit re: ADA ramps coming off of city sidewalks • Handicap parking considerations for outdoor dining proposals • Coordination with Commission on Disability Issues Healthy Streets (RAYMOND HESS) Commissioner questions and comments included: City of Ann Arbor Page 2 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes - Final May 20, 2020 • Implementation - time frame, notification process • Input process - knowledge/access, peer-community comparison, support threshold, A2 Fix It • Systematic approaches/alternatives – e.g., density, # youth, known cut-through streets, traffic calming program participation, staff expertise • Speed limit reduction • Washington Street • E-bikes • Sidewalks and vegetation • Arterial streets • Enforcement • Pedestrian signal - “recalls,” leading pedestrian intervals 20-0723 Healthy Streets Materials Received and Filed BUSINESS Micro-Mobility Committee Appointment - Summers (MOLLY KLEINMAN) A motion was made by Feldt, seconded by Woods, that Jim Summers' appointment to the Micro-Mobility Committee be Approved. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. Micro-Mobility Committee Update (MOLLY KLEINMAN) Chair Kleinman and Commissioner Summers shared an update on the recent activities of the Micro-Mobility Committee. 20-0680 Micro-Mobility Committee Materials Received and Filed Seventh Street Committee Update (LINDA DIANE FELDT AND JULIE BOLAND) Commissioner Feldt and Commissioner Boland shared an update on the recent activities of the Seventh Street Process Committee. 20-0676 Seventh Street Process Committee Materials City of Ann Arbor Page 3 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes - Final May 20, 2020 Received and Filed Comprehensive Transportation Plan Supplemental Work (RAYMOND HESS) 20-0706 Comprehensive Transportation Plan Supplemental Work Commissioner questions and comments included: • Additional expenditure/current financial state • In-house vs. consultant services (expertise, capacity, timeline) A motion was made by Parsons, seconded by Boland, that City of Ann Arbor staff complete the work outlined in the "Resolution to Appropriate $21,700 from General Fund to Fund Additional Tasks Associated with the Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update Project and to Approve an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with Sam Schwartz Consulting, LLC ($373,370)" and that this recommendation be forwarded to the City Council and should be returned by 6/15/2020. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
