A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Parsons, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the Minutes
be forwarded to the City Council and should be returned by
1/19/2021. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the
motion carried.

Glenwood Traffic Calming Resolution (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
20-1837 Glenwood Traffic Calming Resolution
A motion was made by Feldt, seconded by Boland, that the
Transportation Commission recommends that City Council approve
the "Resolution to Approve the Installation of Traffic Calming
Devices on Glenwood Avenue." The Commission action will be
forwarded to the City Council to be returned by 2/16/2021. On a
unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
Healthy Streets Update (RAYMOND HESS)
Commissioner questions and comments included:
• Traffic flow confusion
• Usage: current infrastructure vs. healthy streets infrastructure
• Permanent solutions/road diets beyond COVID
• Effectiveness, speed reduction, crash data comparisons
• Implementation strategies, timeline

A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Boland, that the
Transportation Commission recommends that City Council pursue
Healthy Streets implementation and necessary budget allocations
for April 2021. Further, to include neighborhood streets in the
implementation. We strongly recommend identifying locations
where previous Healthy Streets reconfigurations could be made
permanent. The Commission action will be forwarded to the City
Council to be returned by 1/19/2021. On a unanimous voice vote, the
Chair declared the motion carried.
