A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Balderrama, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the Minutes
be forwarded to the City Council and should be returned by
3/15/2021. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the
motion carried.

Municipal Sidewalk Snow Removal Update (COUNCILMEMBER BRIGGS & MOLLY KLEINMAN)
Commissioner questions and comments included:
• Funding and implementation
• Current practices are not acceptable
• Sidewalks are transportation corridors – should be treated as such
• Urgency needed
21-0333 Municipal Sidewalk Snow Removal Materials
The Transportation Commission did not support the draft resolution as
presented. Instead, Commissioners passed the motion, as stated.
A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Balderrama, that
Transportation Commission endorses the goal of municipal
sidewalk snow removal and views this as an urgent need requiring
priority for City funding and planning and the Resolution be
Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council
and should be returned by 3/1/2021. On a unanimous voice vote, the
Chair declared the motion carried.
Micro-Mobility Committee Update (MOLLY KLEINMAN & JIM SUMMERS)
Commissioner questions and comments included:
• 10.147 – (1) – bring back currently stricken language
• Strike the speed limit
• Duty of Care, enforcement, defensible language

21-0315 Transportation Project Updates February 2021
Staff updates included:
• Staff are pursuing a joint working session in mid-April between the
Transportation Commission and Planning Commission for final
presentation and action on the Transportation Master Plan.
LIAISON REPORTS (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
Commissioner comments included:
• Commission on Disability Issues – moving from Traffic Code to the
vehicle code, SnowBuddy report - interested in sidewalk snow clearing,
upcoming RTA CAC meeting
• AAATA – embarking on a public input process, online public events,
March presentation
• City Council – WATS committee, commuter rail discussion
