22-0651 March 2022 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes
A motion was made by Brovan, seconded by Hautamaki, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the minutes
be forwarded to the City Council, due on 5/16/2022. On a unanimous
voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.

• Speaker 1: Bethany Grzesiak – Lower Town Study; homeowner at corner
of Swift/Moore; concerned about Moore going to 2-way
• Speaker 2: Adam Jaskiewicz – Neighborhood cut-throughs are
deteriorating; would be good to have City to maintain them and acquire
easements if need be; look to expand network; a need at State to Main
connection; Pauline/Runnymeade connection is in bad shape

Commissioner questions and comments included:
• Planning Commission voted to eliminate parking minimum, but it will
come back for consideration; probably go to Council in about a month’s
time
• AAATA Board is expected to vote on the millage proposal tomorrow
night

• Details discussed about a fatal crash that occurred on Stadium near
Thaler on 3/30/2022
• Council adopted Transit Oriented Development update
COMMISSION MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
Recognize Departing Commission Members
Commissioner questions and comments included:
• Molly: Acknowledge that this will be the last meeting for Commissioners
Areli Balderrama and Jim Summers. We thank them for their service to
this Commission and its Committees (Areli served on Healthy Streets;
Jim served on Micromobility). You will be missed. Additionally, if any
Commissioners have suggestions on new Commission members, let me
know so that they can be engaged and the Mayor can be informed of
possible candidates.
• Jim Summers expressed thanks and enjoyment serving on the
Commission.
• Areli Balderrama expressed thanks serving on the Commission and will
miss serving on the Commission.

• Main Street Reconfiguration
• S. Division Cycle Track
• Sustainable Energy Utility (from Office of Sustainability and Innovation)
• Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant application(s)
