APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA
22-0920 April 2022 Meeting Minutes
A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Brovan, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the minutes
be forwarded to the City Council, due on 6/15/2022. On a unanimous
voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.

22-0921 Transportation Commission Bylaws Amendment Memo and Resolution
A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Brovan, that the
Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the minutes
be forwarded to the City Council, due on 6/15/2022. On a unanimous
voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT - 3 MINUTES PER SPEAKER (MOLLY KLEINMAN)
22-0922 Public Comment - (5)
5 Emails received inclusive of attachments and Comments included:
• Speaker 1: Josh Lohrke – supportive of bike infrastructure (Main, S.
Division, Plymouth, South State) but they are used by drivers as turn
lanes or loading zones
• Speaker 2: Adam Jaskiewicz – experiences the same issues mentioned
by Mr. Lohrke.

22-0925 Proposed Amendments to Ann Arbor City Code Chapter 55 Unified Development
Code (Parking Requirements)
Commissioner questions and comments:
• Lee thanked staff.
A motion was made by Hautamaki, seconded by Brovan, that the
Transportation Commission recommend approval of the proposed
amendment to the Ann Arbor City Code Chapter 55 Unified
Development Code related to parking requirements. On a voice vote,
the Chair declared the motion carried with 6 in favor and 1
abstention (Lee).
22-0926 S. Division cycle track and parking removal
Commissioner questions and comments:
• Solid waste issues
• Parking; tie into existing cycle track on Division; crosswalk at
Packard/Division
• Share design at a future meeting

A motion was made by Brovan, seconded by Boland, that the
Transportation Commission recommend removal of on-street
parking on portions of Division Street to accommodate a cycle
track. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion
carried.

22-0927 S. Main Reconfiguration Update
Commissioner questions and comments:
• Traffic volumes for road diets; sharrow condition; interaction with
business at Stadium/Main
• Bike lane; sharrow condition; and signage; plowing/sweeping equipment
• Transition to/riding on sidewalk

Pedestrian Accommodations at Signalized Intersections (CYNTHIA REDINGER and CYRUS
NAHEEDY)
Commissioner questions and comments:
• Flashing yellow downtown; no-turn on red downtown and near schools
(e.g. Granger and Packard); interest in a future action item on downtown
no turn on red
• No turn on red as policy agenda; span vs. mast arms
• % of intersections downtown that have no turn on red
