On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT City of Ann Arbor Page 1 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes - Final June 15, 2022 22-1076 Public Comment 2 emails inclusive and 1 speaker: • Speaker 1: Ken Clark – dial info is incorrect; use cameras to track speeding (but not issue tickets) Received and Filed BUSINESS INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION Sustainable Energy Utility (Thea Yagerlener) 22-1077 Sustainable Energy Utility Commissioner questions and comments included: • Redundant infrastructure for distribution • How to promote this initiative? • Incentives to opt in if the individual already has solar; ownership model of the infrastructure • Short survey on the website and getting input from commissions • Involve renters in processes such as these Received and Filed Capital Improvement Plan (Kayla Coleman) 22-1078 Capital Improvement Plan Commissioner questions and comments included: • Timeline for getting feedback • Evaluate progress on goals Received and Filed State and Hill Street Project Update (Theresa Bridges) 22-1079 State and Hill Street Project Update City of Ann Arbor Page 2 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes - Final June 15, 2022 Commissioner questions and comments included: • Outreach to TheRide; Treeline Trail funding; • Different types of bike lanes; discouraging vehicles from improper use; • Buffered bike lanes and delineators; turn lane vs. bike lane at Hoover; relationship of White and State; • Continuity of facilities; contributing factors to crashes; should support continuous protected bike facility along the corridor; future presentations to the Commission; engagement with UM; Treeline project budget impact; • On-street parking impacts • Resurfacing projects should be safety projects; inclusion of vertical elements; Hill safety improvements and other possible considerations The Commission amended the agenda to hear the presentation on the State and Hill Street Project before the Capital Improvement Plan. The vote was unanimous. Vision Zero Implementation Committee (Raymond Hess, Julie Boland, Bret Hautamaki) 22-1080 Vision Zero Implementation Meeting The Commission postponed the Vision Zero Implementation Committee Update. There was no objection raised.
