Call to Order Rollcall The Chair called the Meeting to order at 6:45p.m. Present: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone 2. Business before Committee a. Appointments/Reappointments AP-26-14 Appointment of James Praley III, Esquire to the Alcohol Beverage Control Board Attachments: Praley Resume.pdf Praley Appointment Letter Mr. James Praley III, Esquire speaks regarding his qualifications. The committee ask questions of the appointee. Alderwomen Finlayson inquires if there is any connection between Mr. Praley and local bars and restaurant. Alderman Budge speaks regarding appointments to the Alcohol Beverage Control Board. Alderman Budge moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone b. Approval of Minutes ECM091514 Approval of minutes for the regular meeting Attachments: September 15, 2014 Alderman Budge moved to approve. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Legislation before Committee O-37-14 Lease of City Property to Chesapeake Children’s Museum - For the City of Annapolis Page 1 Economic Matters Committee Standing Committee Minutes December 15, 2014 purpose of approving a lease between the City of Annapolis and the Chesapeake Children’s Museum for a portion of the City-owned building located at 25 Silopanna Road, Annapolis, Maryland; and all other matters related to said lease with the Chesapeake Children’s Museum. Alderman Budge spoke with the Children Museum Director, who will be conferring with the Law Office. Legislation should be postponed for 1 month. Alderman Budge moved to postpone. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone R-32-14 Considering the Acquisition of Land and Improvements Located at 110 Compromise Street - For the purpose of expressing the sense of the Annapolis City Council’s consideration of acquiring the land and improvements located at 110 Compromise Street for a purchase price of $4,500,000. Alderman Budge suggested that this legislation be sent on to the council without a vote. Alderman Budge moved to returned without recommendation. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.
