Call To Order Chairman Paone called the meeting to order at 6:47 p.m. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone 2. General Discussion ID-71-15 Historic Preservation Update Chair of the Historic Preservation Commission Kennedy briefed the committee on the annual report from Boards and Commissions. Chief of Historic Preservation Craig spoke briefly on the discussion topic, and answered questions from the committee. This Informational Item was presented 3. Legislation before Committee O-1-15 Lease of City Property to George Bowling - For the purpose of approving a lease between the City of Annapolis and George Bowling for the City-owned building located at 270 Defense Highway, Annapolis, Maryland; and all other related matters. Alderman Budge suggested that the committee confer with the Office of Law to make sure the language is clear. Alderman Budge moved to postpone. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone O-5-15 Floodplain Management in the City of Annapolis - For the purpose of amending certain sections of Chapter 17.11 of the Annapolis City Code to comply with updates to new Flood Insurance Rate Maps delineated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and all other matters generally relating to floodplain management in the City of Annapolis. Alderman Budge recommended postponement of the legislation until it can be addressed by the Historic Preservation Commission. He also requests a separate conversation to include himself, DNEP Director Broadbent, and the Office of Law on how the Flood Plain Ordinance relates to development on and around City Dock which is in a costal (A) area. Alderman Budge moved to postpone. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Budge, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderman Paone 4.
