O-41-17 Market House Tenant Lease Extension - For the purpose of extending all

The Committee discussed different options regarding the lease extension. Alderman
Budge suggested that the committee reject this ordinance and rely on the language in the
existing leases and allow them to go month to month. However he was concerned about
the existing tenants not knowing when they would have to leave. His other suggestion

was to extend leases until the Council approves a new lease for the Market House and
give the existing tenant 60 or 90 days notice. Alderwoman Finlayson requested the

is not fair to the tenants. Alderman Budge moved to postpone action on the legislation
