Call To Order Chairman Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Rodriguez and Savidge Absent: 1- Finlayson Closed Session Statement: Pursuant to the requirement of the Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article, § 3-305(b) (14) this statement is included in these minutes: A joint closed session of the Economic Matters, Rules and City Government and Finance Committees was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:04 p.m. in the Mayor John T. Chamber, Jr., City Council Chamber, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, 2nd Floor, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 Members who voted to meet in the Close Session: Alderman Rodriguez, Alderman Savidge and Alderman Arnett Persons attending the Closed Session: Alderwoman Tierney, Alderman Paone, Alderwoman Pindell Charles, City Manager Andrews, Assistant City Attorney Leonard, City Clerk Watkins-Eldridge, City Council Associate Greene, Business Manager Beauchamp, Procurement Officer Snyder, Finance Director Miller, Finance Deputy Director Leaman, Public Works Director Jarrell and Outside Legal Counsel Sussman. Applicants New Market, LLC attending the Closed Session: Jody Danek, F. Joseph Gormley, Keith Bouchard and Michele Bouchard A roll call vote was taken by the members present, and the session was closed. The authority under which the session was closed was the Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article, § 3-305(b) (14) the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the contents of the proposal from New Market, LLC No votes were taken in the closed session. Upon motion duly made, seconded and adopted, the closed session was adjourned at 2:40 p.m. 3. Business before Committee a. ID-31-18 Joint Proposed Closed Session - In accordance with Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article § 3-305(b) (14). Disclosure of the topic to be discussed for citation selected: The contents of the proposal from New Market, LLC. City of Annapolis Page 1 Economic Matters Committee Standing Committee Minutes February 6, 2018 Savidge moved to hold a closed meeting of the Economic Matters Committee on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Rodriguez and Savidge Absent: 1- Finlayson The committee went into closed session at 10:08 a.m. b. Approval of Minutes 4. Legislation before Committee O-5-18 Lease of the Market House - New Market, LLC - For the purpose of authorizing the lease of the Market House to New Market, LLC, the Master Tenant for a certain period of time, subject to certain terms, provisions and conditions; and matters generally relating to said lease.
