Call To Order Chairwoman Finlayson called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Finlayson and Savidge a. ID-234-20 Appointment of Chair of the Economic Matters Committee Alderman Savidge moved to elect Alderwoman Finlayson as Chair of the Economic Matters Committee. approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Savidge moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. Appointments and reappointments to Committees AP-22-20 The Re-Appointment of Robert Gallagher to the Board of Appeals Ombudsman Raftovich was present in place of Robert Gallagher and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez AP-24-20 The Re-Appointment Bobbie Collins to the Historic Preservation Commission Ombudsman Raftovich was present in place of Bobbie Collins, and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to administered oath of office. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez AP-25-20 The Re-Appointment of Michael Walsh to the Board of Appeals Ombudsman Raftovich was present in place of Michael Walsh, and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez AP-26-20 The Appointment of David Haight to the Heritage Commission David Haight was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. AP-28-20 The Appointment of Amy Burdick to the Recreation Advisory Board Postpone until Amy Burdick is available. AP-29-20 The Appointment of Samuel Whelen Biddle to the Heritage Commission Samuel Whelen Biddle was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez 5. Legislation before Committee O-21-20 The Conveyance of City-owned property - For the purpose of approving the conveyance of certain City-owned property to 113 CATHEDRAL STREET, LLC; expressly authorizing said conveyance to be made at private sale and not at public auction; expressly finding that the City-owned land to be conveyed is not needed for public use; and generally relating to said conveyance. City Attorney Lyles, and Planning and Zoning Director Nash were present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Savidge moved to postpone O-21-20 until the next Economic Matters Committee meeting. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 2- Finlayson and Savidge Absent: 1- Rodriguez O-22-20 The Conveyance of City-owned property - For the purpose of approving the conveyance of certain City-owned property to Kathleen L. Woelfel, Carol L. Thames and Sandra M. Woelfel, Co-Trustees of the Survivor’s Trust created under the Woelfel Living Trust; expressly authorizing said conveyance to be made at private sale and not at public auction; expressly finding that the City-owned land to be conveyed is not needed for public use; and generally relating to said conveyance. General Discussion Update from the Economic Development Manager Stephen Rice Economic Development Manager Rice was present and answered questions from the committee. Update from the Downtown Partnership, Erik Evans, Executive Director Erik Evans, Executive Director Downtown Partnership, and Economic Development Manager Rice were present and answered questions from the committee. 7.
