General Discussion ID-286-14 The City’s Tree Canopy Goals City of Annapolis Page 1 Environmental Matters Committee Standing Committee Minutes September 18, 2014 Attachments: Tree canopy Tree Canopy Chief of Environmental Programs Biba spoke on the topic. GIS Specialist Wampler offered a presentation on Tree Canopy assessment using GIS technology(attached). DNEP Director Broadbent discussed how her department works on the tree canopy goals. (attached) Ms. Broadbent discussed the Bradford Pear tree replacement program. Ms. Broadbent suggested some code changes that could help tree canopy numbers. Mr. Rick Kissell, 707 Warren Drive, Discussed his concerns with the DNEP document presented earlier. ID-287-14 Update on Crystal Spring Mr. Biba discussed the updates on development projects (attached) Mr. Kissell, 707 Warren Drive discussed the materials being reviewed. ID-288-14 Update on Rocky Gorge construction activity Mr. Biba discussed the proposed Rocky Gorge development. Mr. Paul Murphy, 105 Northwest Street, discussed stormwater issues relating to development. Mr. Biba discussed the concern. The Chairman requested follow up on the question of stormwater requirements. Mr. Kissell offered comments on the topic. 4.
