Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Minutes April 24, 2018 1. Call To Order Chairman Arnett called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderman Arnett and Alderman Finlayson 3. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes FC042018-S Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting PECIAL Note that the Mayor's Office will return for a follow-up meeting at a later date and time. Alderman Rodriguez moved to approve as amended. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Rodriguez and Alderman Finlayson b. ID-129-18 Departmental Reviews: APD Follow Up Fire Department Fire Chief Stokes, Deputy Chief Remaley, and Deputy Chief Simmons were present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Tierney would like to see an additional Code Compliance Officer added to the staff. Finance Operations Manager Pletzer was present and was asked to provide the fees collected from Special Events as well as the cost associated to the department for them as well. Police Department Police Captain Amoia and City Manager Sutherland was present and answered questions from the committee. Chairman Arnett would like the Police Department to provide the Enhancement explanation sheets to the committee. 4. General Discussion Alderwoman Finlayson requested the new enhancement sheet from Finance Operations Manager Pletzer. Alderwoman Finlayson would like a timeline schedule from the Public Works Director as to when the CIP projects will begin. 5.
