Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Minutes May 4, 2018 1. Call To Order Chairman Arnett called the meeting to order at 10:20 a.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 2- Alderman Arnett and Alderman Finlayson 3. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes FC050318-S Approval of Minutes for the Regular Minutes PECIAL ID-138-18 Legislative Review: Fee’s & Fines; Pay Plan Finance Operations Manager Pletzer was present and answered questions from the committee and requested to table the Fee's discussion until Monday in order to allow the departments to be present and speak on the changes. Alderwoman Tierney was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably Fines. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Rodriguez and Alderman Finlayson R-16-18 FY 2019 Fines Schedule Effective July 1, 2018 - For the purpose of specifying fines that will be charged for FY 2019. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Rodriguez and Alderman Finlayson ID-139-18 Fund Balance Policy Discussion Finance Operations Manager Pletzer was present and answered questions from the committee. Discussion will be continued. ID-141-18 Discussion: Truxton Park Pool Update Mayor Buckley and Public Works Director Jarrell were present and answered questions from the committee. Finance Operations Manager Pletzer and City Manager Sutherland were present and answered questions from the committee. Chairman Arnett requested a time schedule that shows when the funds will be spent for the rebuilding of the Spa Road Public Works Facility, as well as a revised description of the project. ID-151-18 Follow Up: Mayor’s Office City Manager Sutherland and Chief of Staff Smith were present and answered questions from the committee. The committee requested an updated organizational chart.
